| I am the damn yankee your mother warned you about! I grew up in Massachusetts and have lived in North Carolina for 9 years. My wife is a Washington native and I have 2 stepchildren whom I love as if they were my own. I studied politics and international relations at UMASS Amherst. I am an unapologetic and rationally minded liberal. I distrust government and the free market system with equal measure because I think the motives of each are the same. I love the give and take of ideas and learning new perspectives on the issues of the day. I do not shy away from heated debates either! My other passions include jazz and improvisational music, baseball, golf, and health/fitness issues. As time goes on, I will be writing essays and perspectives on all of these issues. I value any input, opinion, or contrarian perspectives and I look forward to the development of this platform as it grows over the weeks and months ahead. |
